Mike Zimmerman

Mike Zimmerman, 63, of Auburn, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025, at his home in rural Auburn.

He was born August 28, 1962, in Willard, Ohio to Douglas Earl and Nancy Carol (Kock) Zimmerman.

Mike was a 1981 graduate of Garrett High School.

He worked for Therma-Tru Doors in Butler, retiring with over 20 years of service to the company.

Mike had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He enjoyed collecting various items, had a passion for music and old movies, and was especially fond of animals and classic cars and trucks. His warm spirit and unique interests left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

Surviving are his mother, Nancy Carol Zimmerman of Kendallville; two sisters and their spouses, Melanie and Chris Rives of Woodbury, Tennessee and Mary Maple and Joe Stone of Hudson; five nieces and nephews, Alyshia (Watson) Chittenden of Auburn, Amanda (Watson) and Tim Harvey of Auburn, Joshua and Star Watson of Auburn, Monet Saxton of Texas and Janay Saxton of North Carolina; and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Earl Zimmerman; and a brother, Mark Zimmerman.

There will be no services taking place at this time.
