Naomi E. Hill, 94, of Auburn, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Laurels of DeKalb Nursing Home in Butler.
She was born March 4, 1927, in Kendallville to John and Letha Viola (Pfieffer) Sechler.
Naomi married Wayne H. Hill on March 26, 1945, in Salem Center, and he passed away January of 1999.
She worked as a cook for the Green Parrott in Waterloo for several years. She then went to work in the cafeteria as a cook for Waterloo Elementary for 20 years, retiring in 1991.
Naomi was a member of the Waterloo United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy A. and James Hanna of Auburn, Ruth E. and Michael Steury of Auburn, and Marcia K. and Mark Gerig of Auburn; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, David E. Hill and Charles L. Hill; sister, Martha Sechler; and three brothers, Robert “Bob” Sechler, Bernard Sechler and Ora E. Sechler.
Private family services will take place at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with Pastor Sam Weicht officiating.
Burial will take place in Waterloo Cemetery.
