Naomi R. Myers, 88, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025, at Parkview DeKalb Hospital in Auburn.
She was born on March 2, 1936, in Fairfield Township in DeKalb County, Indiana, to Peter and Bertha (Manrow) Sebert.
Naomi was a 1954 graduate of Waterloo High School.
She married Delbert Myers on July 3, 1954, and he passed away on Aug. 28, 2012.
Naomi worked in the cafeteria for the DeKalb Central School District for 21 years, retiring in 2001.
She was a lifetime member of the Garrett Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Naomi loved sports. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and always dreamed of playing for the Fort Wayne Daisies Baseball team. She also enjoyed attending her high school class reunions.
Surviving are four children, Don Myers and his wife, Connie, of Auburn, Pam Trader, of Garrett, Kathy Griffin and her husband, Tony, of Garrett and Richard Myers, of Auburn; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Childs, of Fort Worth, Texas; and a sister-in-law, Marge Sebert, of Kendallville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son, Robert Myers; grandson, Rob Wilcox; son-in-law, Joe Trader; sister, Loretta Davis; and a brother, Albert Sebert.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.
A graveside service will follow visitation at 2:30 p.m., on Saturday, at Corunna Cemetery, 3034 S.R. 327, Corunna.
