Norma Mae Armstrong, age 84 of Auburn, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 at the Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
On Friday, the 13th day of July in the year of our Lord 1938. Norma Mae Cottrell was brought into the world. Throughout her 84 years on this earth, Norma touched the hearts of everyone that met her, she certainly never met a stranger. A lifelong devotee to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Norma was the embodiment of what it meant to love thy neighbor. For such a small person, Norma had the biggest heart of anyone you could ever meet. Norma was a once in a lifetime gift to this earth.
Norma is preceded in death by both of her parents and her loving husband of 55 years, Richard S. Armstrong. Norma is survived by her three sisters Judy Allsup, Jean Graves, Debra (Don) Rutledge and a Brother Victor (Brenda) Cottrell all of Terre Haute, Indiana. Two daughters Donna (Tim) Stayner, and Rosie (George) Kennedy of Auburn, Indiana.
Norma was a devoted and loving grandmother and great-grandmother to three granddaughters Jami (Paul) White, Tiffany Daniels, and Carlie Rhoden. A grandson Matthew (Carnation) Rhoden, and 8 great grandchildren Corbyn, Riley, Lily and Jaime White, David Rhoden, Iris and Vivian Lich, and Christopher Jr. Stairhime. Norma raised 3 generations of children, and quite often, most of their friends.
