Patricia E. Fuentes, 88 of Kendallville, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.
She was born on April 4, 1937 in Auburn to Lester and Miriam (Thomlinson) Casselman and she was a graduate of Auburn High School.
Patricia married Antonio Fuentes on May 23, 1953 in Columbia City. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1987.
She worked for many years as a dietitian at Lutheran Life Nursing Home in Kendallville, retiring in 1999. She also served on the administrative council and was the emergency contact while living at the Lamp Lighter apartments in Kendallville. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, watching soap operas and western movies on TV and she enjoyed playing corn hole in the nursing home.
Pat’s faith was very important to her, she loved Jesus! She was raised Baptist but converted to Catholicism after she got married because Antonio was Catholic. She attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kendallville. Most of all, Pat loved raising her family and she loved spending time with them, especially her grandkids, great grandkids and great great grandkids.
Survivors include:
Son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Sue Fuentes of Avilla.
Daughter, Julie Conley of Kendallville.
Daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Doug Snyder of Napoleon, Ohio.
Daughter and son-in-law, Maria Elane and Gregg Scott of Corunna.
Many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Antonio Fuentes; one son, Mike Fuentes; one great granddaughter, Audra Marie Alen Hawkins; three sisters, Sandra Casselman, Hilda Gettys and Pearl Weinhold and one brother, Larry Casselman.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 PM immediately following the visitation with Pastor Peter Meneghello officiating.
Burial will take place at the Cedar Lake Cemetery, Waterloo.
Memorial donations may be given in memory of Pat to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 North Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, Illinois 60601.
