Patricia J. “Patti” Shuler, 86, of Auburn, died on Monday, Dec. 16, 2024, at The Cedars in Leo, Indiana.
She was born on Sept. 3, 1938, in Huntington, West Virginia, to Richard S. McBride Sr., and Ruby A. (Green) McBride.
She was a graduate of South Side High School in Fort Wayne.
Patti married Paul L. Shuler Sr., on April 16, 1960, at Simpson Methodist Church in Fort Wayne, and he passed away on Jan. 2, 2020.
She served as secretary for Woodburn United Methodist Church for more than 40 years, retiring in 2019.
Patti was a member of Woodburn United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer and coordinator for the Woodburn Community Food Bank for several years. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Auburn.
Surviving are three children, Pam A. (Tim) Henderson, of Waterloo, Paul L. (Amy) Shuler Jr., of Auburn and Peggy A. (Dan) Schindler, of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Richard (Eleanor) McBride, of The Villages, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
A memorial service will take place at noon on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with the Rev. Robert Barton officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, prior to the service at the funeral home.
