Auburn – Phillip “Pat” Longsworth, 57 of Auburn passed away Wednesday November 27, 2024 at Parkview DeKalb Hospital in Auburn.
He was born September 7, 1967 in Fort Wayne to Phillip A and Doris A (Barney) Longsworth. His father has passed away, and his mother survives in Auburn.
Pat owned and operated Pat Longsworth Excavating Inc, a business he poured his heart into, just as he did with every aspect of his life. Known for his big heart and generous spirit, Pat cared for his friends and family more than anything else. He had a profound love for those around him and would go above and beyond to lend a helping hand – always putting others before himself.
He is survived by his mother, Doris A Longsworth; daughter, Shay Barry of Garrett; 2 sisters and their husbands, Toni and Scott Carmer of Fort Wayne and Kristina and Todd Beer of Fremont; 2 nephews and 3 nieces, Matthew Carmer, Christopher Carmer, Dominque Hyndman, Holly Herndon and Melissa Beer.
Pat's legacy is one of love, kindness, and unwavering support for those he cherished. He leaves behind a family that will remember him not just for his work in the community but for the warmth and compassion he offered to everyone he encountered.
Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 3 PM on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN 46706. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3 PM, officiated by his brother-in-law, Rev. Scott Carmer. To send condolences to the family, please visit www.fellerandclark.com.
