Rebecca Collins Obituary

Rebecca "Beccy" Ann Collins, 64, of Butler, woke up peacefully in the arms of Jesus on December 23, 2025.

She was born on January 14, 1961, in Marburg, Germany, to Ronald and Elisabeth (Brehm) Mills.

Beccy and her family came to the States when she was 7 years old. After several moves during her father’s Army career, her family settled in Hudson, IN. She was a 1979 graduate of Angola High School.

She married Brent Edward Collins on October 23, 1982 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and he resides in Butler.

Beccy was a homemaker for many years before retiring to be a full time Oma to her 10 grandkids, whom she loved more than life itself. Before that, she enjoyed traveling to the U.P. where she loved to camp, explore, and comb the beaches for beach glass and unique rocks. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, antiquing, cooking, and spending time with her family. She loved summer cookouts and family get togethers.

She is survived by Brent, her loving husband of 43 years;

Three children (who drove her nuts, she said) and their spouses: Sarah (Mike) Wann of Auburn, Grant (Alek Hastedt) Collins of Butler, and Emily (Richie) Drake of Auburn;

Her grandchildren: Davaney, Laelah, Braxton, Emmett, Reighnna, Chandler, Reuben, Lincoln, Addi, and Pierce;

Her mother, Liz, of Hudsonville, MI;

Siblings: Roger (Kim) Mills of Arvada, CO, Rick (Marni) Mills of Monroe, MI, and Mona (Scott) Heidema of Hudsonville, MI;

And many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was reunited in Heaven with her father, her sister Rosie, and her grandson, Hudson; along with many other friends and family members.

Per Beccy’s wishes, a celebration of life will be planned for a later date where her loved ones can get together and enjoy the warm weather, good food, laughs, and memories.

Memorials may be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities or to a charity of the donor’s choosing.

The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Fresenius Medical Care, who took great care of Beccy for many years and whom she loved dearly; and to the staff at PRMC Coronary ICU for the kindness, compassion, and excellent care that they provided during her stay.
