Rev. Freddie R. Verden

Auburn – Rev. Freddie R Verden, 82, died Thursday November 9, 2023 at Auburn Village in Auburn.

He was born in Danville, Illinois on December 17, 1940 to Rae E. and Mary Allice (Brasker) Verden.

Freddie was an ordained minister with the Assembly of God, receiving an Associate’s Degree from Global University. He ministered at Alfordsville Assembly of God, Medaryville Assembly of God, Kendallville Assembly of God and also worked at Fomex in Auburn for thirteen years.

He was a member of Souls Harbor Assembly of God in Auburn.

Freddie married Caroline McKinnon on January 1, 1961 in Linton, Indiana and she passed away July 15, 2019.

Surviving are 2 sons and daughter in laws, Timothy F. and Nancy Verden of Alvin, Texas and Robert S. and Tracy Verden of Auburn; four grandchildren, Daniel Verden, Brianna Verden, Chance Verden, Mariah Verden and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister, Nila High and brother Jim Verden.

Services will be 5 PM Tuesday November 14, 2023 at Souls Harbor Assembly of God, 3810 County Road 40A, and Auburn, IN 46706. Calling is 3 hours prior to the service Tuesday from 2 to 5 at the church. Burial will take place at a later date in West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorials can be given in memory of Freddie to Souls Harbor Assembly of God.
