Richard Nelson Koch

Richard Nelson Koch, age 80, of Auburn, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2025.

Born in St. Paul, MN on February 18, 1945.

Preceded in death by his parents, Karl and Edith Koch, his sister, Ingrid-Ann McAmis, his brother Fredric Koch, nephew Karl Koch, and son in-law Brett Parker.

Survived by his loving wife, Susan Koch; children Andrea Parker and Mark (Jessica) Koch; grandchildren, Alexandria, MacKenzie, Mahayla, Michael, and Abigail; great-grandchildren, Emerson, Sophia, Everett; and sister in-law Karen Koch.

He graduated from the University of Minnesota and served in the Minnesota Air National Guard Reserve.

He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after 30+ years.

He always loved  traveling across the United States by train. During retirement, he enjoyed his time with his grandkids young and old. He was always up for a good game of bingo or singing with his friends at Astral.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, December 6th at 2 pm at Astral of Auburn 1675 W 7th St, Auburn, IN.
