Waterloo – Ricky Lynn Wells, 57 of Waterloo passed away Sunday May 10, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born July 21, 1968 in Auburn to Oscar Ray Wells and Joan Joy (Laisure) Wells Rempis. They have both passed away. He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Bill Rempis.
Ricky worked at Air-Way in Hamilton for over 30 years then for Charleston Metal in Waterloo before retiring.
He was a member of New Hope Christian Center in Waterloo and he enjoyed taking part in the Riley Children’s Hospital Tractor Pulls. He loved to sing and play his guitar. In his younger days he sang and played with a Gospel group, Glory Land Express.
Ricky is survived by his wife, Teresea (Woods) Wells. They were married October 30, 2021 at Fairfield Center, Corunna.
He is also survived by a son, Tyler (Jessica) Wells of Garrett; step-children, Ryan (Sarah) Nelson of St. Joe and Stephanie (Andy) Rice of Auburn; 10 grandchildren, Jaiden Wells, Wyatt Wells, William Wells Annjessica Nelson, Lilly Rice, Tennly Rice, Piper Nelson, Callen Nelson, Elwyn Nelson Ginnie Nelson and one great granddaughter, Asuna Nelson; 3 brothers and 2 sisters, Diane (Dan) Elkins of Waterloo, Tony (Cindy) Wells of Auburn, Tim (Carol) Wells of Butler, Joe (Virgie Wells of Ashley and Julie (Brad Kern) Wells of Kendallville.
A Memorial Service will be at 5 PM Monday, May 18, 2026 at New Hope Christian Center, 900 South Wayne Street, Waterloo, IN 46793. The family will receive friends 3 hours prior to the service Monday from 2 to 5 PM at the church. Memorials can be given in memory of Ricky to the Family c/o Teresea Wells to help with expenses
