Robert Maurice "Bob" Glick

Robert “Bob” Maurice Glick, 80, of Auburn, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026. He was born on July 23, 1945, in Indianapolis to Herbert M. and Elizabeth (Kramer) Glick.

Bob was a 1963 graduate of Auburn High School. Following graduation, he proudly served his country and state in the United States Army Reserves for six years.

On May 4, 1968, Bob married Gloria Bassett in Auburn, Indiana, and she survives. Together, they built a beautiful life and family. Also surviving are their three children, Todd (Kelly) Glick of Waterville, OH, Tonya Meyer of Gaithersburg, MD, and Teresa (Justin) Schleibaum of West Chester, OH.

He was a devoted grandfather to six grandchildren: Stefan Legg, Maren Simon, Leah Schleibaum, Stella Meyer, Brody Meyer, and Joshua Schleibaum; and a loving great-grandfather to two great-grandchildren: Ivy Legg and Louie Simon.

Bob began his long career in the automotive industry with International Harvester, working there until the company relocated from the area in 1983. He continued his career by working for AM General, General Motors, and Amcast.

Faith and fellowship were central to Bob's life. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Auburn, as well as a member of the Auburn Elks Lodge No. 1978.

Bob spent years enjoying Indiana University basketball—until his children successfully convinced him that Purdue was the superior school. An avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing at the lake, hunting on the farm, and dedicated many years of active service as a member of the Steuben County Lake Council. Above all, Bob loved traveling with his wife, Gloria, and cherished every moment with his grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert M and Elizabeth Glick; his sister, Patricia McDanel; and two brothers, Michael Glick and David Glick.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.

Andy Grimes will be officiating. 

Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn. 

Visitation will be from noon - 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2026, prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Memorial donations may be directed to Steuben County Lake Council or Parkview Hospice.
