Robert A. "Bob" Steller

Robert A. “Bob” Steller, 69 of Auburn, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

He was born on January 6, 1956 in Garrett.  Bob was a graduate of Garrett High School. 

Bob married Bernice Jarnagin on August 10, 1974 in Garrett.  She resides in Auburn. 

He worked at the Supervalue Distribution Center for Fort Wayne for 35 years.  Following his employment with Supervalue, they lived in Louisville, Kentucky for eight years.  During that time he worked for Eye Associates Surgical Center as a driver transporting patients before and after their procedures.  Over the years Bob also liked to work on vehicles, so much so that he would work on vehicles for family members, coworkers and neighbors.  

Bob and Bernice attended Harvest Fellowship Church in Fort Wayne.  He enjoyed traveling, salmon fishing, taking grandkids to the zoo and Bass Pro Shop and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.  He also loved to watch his grandson, Carter pitch and play baseball.  Bob was a true gentleman.  He was sweet, gentle person with a laidback personality and he didn’t know a stranger.  Bob will be greatly missed!

His wife of 50 years, Bernice Steller of Auburn.

Son and daughter-in-law, Rob and Christina Steller of Louisville, Kentucky.

Daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Nate Stuchell of Woodburn.

Three grandchildren, Carter Steller, Grace Miller and Alexis Miller.

Brother and sister-in-law, Merle and Lynn Steller of Auburn.

Sister, Linda Baysinger of Waterloo.

Sister, Peggy Jenkins of Auburn.

Sister, Sandy Marti of Garrett.

Sister, Penny Wooster of Auburn.

Aunt and uncle, Bob and Elsie Smith.

Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harold and Sandy Jarnagin of Auburn.

Sister-in-law, Teresa Jarnagin of Auburn.

Several loving nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Merle Steller; his mother, Ruth (Smith) Shank and an infant daughter, Danielle Michelle Steller.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn with Pastor Tom Desomer officiating. 

A gathering of friends and family will be held for two hours prior to the celebration of life service on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
