Rose Ann Dohner, age 82 of Butler, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at The Cedars in Leo.
She was born on September 18, 1942 in New Haven to Arthur and Rose (Housel) Gabet. She was a 1960 graduate of Edgerton High School.
Rose married Jerry Lee Dohner on November 2, 1963 at the Zion United Methodist Church northeast of Butler. He resides in Butler.
She provided childcare in her Butler home for many years when her children were younger. During this time, Rose was also an independent sales consultant for several companies working out of their home. Later, Rose worked at Magnavox/Raytheon in both Auburn and Garrett and then she finished up working at Pittsfield of Indiana in Hamilton. She was a member of the Crossroads of Zion Church northeast of Butler.
Most important to Rose was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed!

Her husband of 61 years, Jerry Dohner of Butler.
Daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth Ann “Lisa” and Geoffrey Morrical of Fort Wayne.
Daughter, Sharon Rose Smith of New Haven.
Son, William Joseph “Bill” Dohner of Butler.
Daughter, Amy Lynn Dohner of Garrett.
Seven grandchildren and their spouses, Shaun Michael Guy, Christopher David and Samantha Guy, Robert Scott Dohner, Justin Lee Dohner, Logan Spencer Smith, Caleb James Dohner and Shelby “Drew” and Danielle Dohner.
Two great grandchildren with two on the way, Jude Donald Guy, Emma Grace Ann Dohner, baby Guy and baby Dohner.
Sister, Ellen Kelder of Fort Wayne.
Brother, Richard Gabet of Butler.
Many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Michael Gabet and Ronald Gabet and one sister, Patricia Miller.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Gene Thimlar officiating.
Burial will take place at the Butler Cemetery in Butler.
Memorial donations may be made to the Dohner Family to help them with expenses.
