Rusty D Harter

Rusty D Harter, 51 passed away Friday September 19, 2025 at Laurels of DeKalb Nursing Home in Butler.

He was born February 17, 1974 in Auburn. His father, Dale Harter has passed away. His mother and step-father, Nancy and Duane Voirol survive in Auburn.

Rusty worked at Bohren Trucking, Broadview Lumber Company, Steak and Shake and Sechler’s Pickle Factory.

He was a member of the Hamilton Lions Club. He enjoyed fishing, crafts, drawings and gardening. He loved being around people and watching sports, especially Purdue and Michigan.

Rusty is survived by his mother and step-father, Nancy and Duane Voirol of Auburn; 4 brothers a sister and their spouses, Ryan and Meagen Voirol of Waterloo, Paul and Julie Voirol of Auburn, Roger and Jackie Voirol of Fremont, Douglas and Sherri Voirol of Auburn, Susan and Ken Kasinger of Auburn and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 PM Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN with burial to follow in Riverview Cemetery in Newville. Calling is 3 hours prior to the service Thursday from 11 to 2 PM at the funeral home Thursday. Memorials can be given in memory of Rusty to the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department.
