Sally Ann Harper, age 87 of Auburn, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn.
She was born on September 24, 1938 in Auburn to Benjamin and Jessie Mae (McKinley) Short. She was a 1956 graduate of Auburn High School.
Sally married Robert E. Harper on October 25, 1958 and he resides in Auburn.
Over the years, Sally has worked in human resources for Cooper Industries, Warner Gear, the Garrett Clinic and Hudson Industries, retiring in 1998.
She was a 65 year member and very active in the Sigma Beta Sorority. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose, the Auburn Women’s Bowling Association, the Garrett Country Club and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, sewing and working in her flower garden. Most of all, Sally enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her husband of 67 years, Robert Harper of Auburn.
Daughter, Kelly Brandenburg of Auburn.
Daughter and son-in-law, Tracey and CJ Fuller of Auburn.
Daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Duane Sparkman of Auburn.
Daughter, Holly Harper of Indianapolis.
Eight grandchildren and their spouses, Kathleen and Michael Donnellan, Joseph and Lisa Brandenburg, Nathan and Cortney Hinsch, Tyler Thompson, Megan and Travis Books, Logan and Miranda Sparkman, Corey Fuller and Lewis and Lauren Fuller.
18 great grandchildren.
Brother, Ned Short of Fort Wayne.
Brother and sister-in-law, Mack and Sharon Short of Auburn.
Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael and Dolores Harper of Wabash.
Sally is preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law, Judy Short and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Karen Harper.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn. Additional visitation will be held on Monday morning one hour prior to the funeral service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Misty Gillian officiating.
Burial will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
Pallbearers will be Duane Sparkman, CJ Fuller, Logan Sparkman, Nathan Hinsch, Joseph Brandenburg and Tony Harper.
Memorial donations may be given in memory of Sally to Indiana Donor Network, 3750 Guion Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46222 and Sigma Beta Inc.
