Garrett – Sally L Thrush, 83, died Thursday September 26, 2024.
She was born July 24, 1941 in Garrett to Russell E and Barbara A (McComb) Kelham.
Sally was a Homemaker and was a member of Altarstar Methodist Church where she played the organ for over 30 years.
She also belonged to the Happy Chicks Home Demonstration Club. She loved antiques, loved to shop and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed sewing and was very good at it. She made Memory Quilts for all her grandchildren and she also made Wedding Gowns for family members.
Sally married Ted D Thrush on June 4, 1960 in Garrett and he passed away December 24, 2016.
She is survived by 4 children and their spouses, Jeffrey D and Amy Thrush of Garrett, Kevin E and Kristine Thrush of Garrett, Rebecca L and Michael Cox of LaOtto and Shari L and Douglas Mossberger of Avilla; 11 grandchildren, Nicholas (Nikki) Thrush, Blaine Cox, Danielle (Levon) Robinson, Bill (Kylie) Beverly, Stephen (Grace) Cox, Scott (Ashley) Thrush, Ashton (Tyler) Logan, Taylor (Mo) Elzein, Jessica Thrush, Tyler Thrush, Jacob Thrush and 17 great grandchildren and one expected in December; 5 siblings, James M Kelham of Garrett, Edward L Kelham of Fort Wayne, Sandra L Ruen of Huntertown, Alice J (Kenneth) Yingling of Garrett, Kathy A (Daniel) Degitz of Garrett; 2 sister in laws, Janet Getts of Garrett and Sheryl Thrush of Garrett; brother in law, Kenneth (Christine) Thrush of Auburn;
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister-in-law, Virgina Kelham and 4 brother in laws, Donald Ruen, Maurice Getts, Garry Thrush and Larry Thrush.
Services will be 11 AM Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN with burial to follow in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Auburn. Calling is Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8PM at the funeral home. Memorials can be given in memory of Sally to the Altarstar Methodist Church, 1403 CR 68 @ 11A, Auburn, IN 46706.
