Sandra Kay (Speer) Terry

Sandra Kay Terry, 68, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away, Monday, July 7, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born on July 30, 1956, in Garrett, Indiana, to Leland and Elnora (Schlegel) Speer.

Sandy was proud of her years of hard work before a well-earned retirement.

She loved her cats, gaming, decorating and collecting books, especially children’s books, but most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters, Sonya Thies, of Auburn, Angela and Will Ogles, of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Sasha and Justin Ledney, of Tampa, Florida; daughter-in-law, Kathryn Kaufman, of South Haven, Michigan; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six siblings, DeWayne and Carol Speer, of Auburn, Gary and Dan Shaffer, of Fort Wayne, Kathy Craft, of St. George, Utah, Lisa and Jason Hatzell, of Garrett, Mary Jenkins, of Auburn and Tim Speer, of Gold Bar, Washington; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Toby Kaufman.

A celebration of Sandy’s life will take place from 4-7 p.m., on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Sandy’s Home, 115 Orchard Drive, Auburn, IN 46706.

Burial will take place at a later date at Roselawn Cemetery in Auburn.
