Shad Allen Hiles

Shad Allen Hiles, 55, of Garrett, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born on Jan. 5, 1970, in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Shad married Jody L. Judson on March 12, 1995, in Garrett.

Shad worked for the past 22 years for Victor Reinz in Avilla.

He was a member of Auburn Conservation Club.

Shad enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling.

Surviving are his wife, Jody L. Hiles, of Garrett; mother and stepfather, Nancy (Carpenter) and Winfred Miller, of Winter Haven, Florida; two daughters, Chelsea (Jake Needham) Hiles, of Fort Wayne and Courtney (Dean) Hiles-Young, of Wolcottville; four grandchildren, Moanae, 12, Odin, 6, Maylakelee, 5, and Manearahlin, 4; two brothers, Frank Hiles, of Winter Haven, Florida, and Jessie Hiles, of Avilla; mother-in-law, Trudy Judson, of Garrett; and a brother-in-law, Rick Judson, of Garrett.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hiles; sister, Diane Coville; sister-in-law, Kathy Hiles; and his father-in-law, Kenneth Judson.

A celebration of Shad’s life will take place at 4 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with the Rev. Dr. Robert Craig officiating.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Feller and Clark Funeral Home to help with expenses.
