Sharon George Obituary

Sharon Kay George, 84 of Auburn, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born on December 1, 1940 in DeKalb County to Basil and Lenora (Killworth) Hoffman.  She was a 1958 graduate of Garrett High School.     

Sharon married Gary Robert George on July 26, 1968 in Auburn. 

She worked at the Smith Law Office for John Martin Smith for many years.  She loved to cook and enjoyed cooking for her family, special events like graduation parties and Christmas and for those in need.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include: 

Her husband of 56 years, Gary George of Auburn. 

Son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Sheri George of Auburn.

Son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Amy George of Auburn.

Seven grandchildren and their spouses, Calvin George, Claire and Ethan Cook, Clayton and Hunter George, Cailyn George, Nicholas Howard, Marissa George and Kristen and Josh Davis.

Six great grandchildren, Scarlett, Tucker, Carson, Addelynn, Brooklynn and Callan.

Sister and brother-in-law, Colleen and Don Alwood of Auburn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Tom Hoffman.

Private family committal services will be held a later date.

Burial will take place at the Eel River Cemetery in Churubusco.

Memorials may be given in memory of Sharon to the Garrett Veterinary Hospital, 1334 South Randolph Street, Garrett, Indiana 46738.
