Sharon (Sherwood) Jacobs

Sharon Jacobs, age 74 of Auburn, went to be with her Lord in Heaven on Tuesday, March 18, 2025.

She was born on April 9, 1950 in Auburn to John and Hilda (Gingrich) Sherwood.      

Sharon married Claude Jacobs on April 18, 2000.  They were married for 24 years and they were together for 19 years before saying their “I do’s”.  He preceded her in death on November 16, 2024. 

She enjoyed going to casinos.  Sharon’s family was very important to her, she attended all of her grandchildren’s sports and actives and she was their biggest cheerleader.  She loved being with her family and friends. 

Survivors include:

Son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Bobbie Aldrich of Auburn.

Daughter and son-in-law, Shahlese and Shane Nodine of Garrett.

Daughter and son-in-law, Taya and Jeff Zeedyk of Waterloo.

Seven grandchildren and their spouses, Adam and Allyson Aldrich, Kelsey and Julio Padilla, McKenna Aldrich, Darrick Hagewood, Lyndsey Hagewood, Hunter Nodine and Jaxson Nodine.

Five great grandchildren, Abby Aldrich, Lydia Aldrich, Liam Aldrich, Parker Padilla and Micah Padilla.

Sister-in-law, June Sherwood of Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude Jacobs and two brothers, John and Harry Sherwood.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Ron Stambaugh officiating.

Memorial donations may be made in memory of Sharon to the DeKalb Humane Society, 5730 CR 11A, Auburn, Indiana 46706.
