Sherry A. (Bertsch) Bell

Sherry A. Bell, age 78 of Garrett passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at her Garrett home.

She was born on December 27, 1944 in Garrett to Albert and Thelma (Neible) Bertsch.  She was a 1963 graduate of Garrett High School. 

Sherry worked at the Dana Corporation in Churubusco for 38 years retiring in January of 2005.  She was a member of the Waterloo Freewill Baptist Church. 

Her family was her life, she loved doing things for and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.  Every time a grandchild was on the way she would crochet that baby a special blanket.  She will be missed!

Survivors include:

Son; Nathan Wilondek of Butler.

Son and daughter-in-law; Michael and Kristina Bell of Auburn.

Daughter; Wendy Bell of Garrett.

Daughter and son-in-law; Macey and Jeremy May of Garrett.

Son and daughter-in-law; Greg and Rianna Bell of Hicksville, Ohio.

Daughter and son-in-law; Brooke Schwartz of Hillsdale, Michigan.

Eight grandchildren; Shelby Witmer, Corey Breininger, Trevor Bell, Ty Bell, Trey Bell, Noah Richardson, Matthew Wilondek and Alexis Eldridge.

Twelve great grandkids.

Sister; Sally Sanders of Bryan, Ohio.

Special friend; Steve.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter; Amy Bell, one sister; Mary Bertsh, two brothers; Robert Bertsh and Freddy Bertsh.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Waterloo Freewill Baptist Church, 2833 CR 27, Waterloo, Indiana with Pastor Ron Stambaugh officiating.

Burial will take place at a later date at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.

Memorial donations may be given to the DeKalb Humane Society, 5730 CR 11A, Auburn, Indiana 46706 and the Waterloo Freewill Baptist Church, 2833 CR 27, Waterloo, Indiana 46793.
