Shirley B. (Cubio) Luker

Shirley B. Luker, 75, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024, at her home in Waterloo.

She was born December 7, 1948, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Shirley married Michael E. Luker on September 6, 1996, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

She drove the pilot car for Luker Transport for 30 years, retiring in 2021.

She enjoyed cooking, painting, art and crafts.

Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Michael E. Luker of Waterloo; son, Darin Byers of Fresno, California; three grandchildren, Samantha Byers, Nicole Byers and Joshua Byers; and three siblings, Roland B. (Joyce) Cubio of Roseville, California, Nancy B. Barth of Kokomo, and Wainani B. Kealoha of Maui, Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by her; father, Vincente Cubio; mother, Carridad (Bamba) Brooks; daughter, Devin B. Robertson; and a brother, Antonio B. Cubio.

A celebration of Shirley’s life will take place at a later date.
