Steven E. Wade

Steven E. Wade, age 65 of Waterloo, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024.  He was born June 3, 1959 in Fort Wayne.

He married Janie L. Evans on February 20, 1982.  She preceded him in death on November 23, 2019.

Steven worked for Universal Tool in Butler for 17 years, Prince Manufacturing in Garrett for 10 years and the Walmart Auto Center for 3 years, retiring in 2013.  During this time he also worked for Croy Well Drilling in Butler for over 20 years. 

He was an avid bowler and bowled in the national ABC Bowling league for 10 years.  He also loved fishing and going to tractor pulls and pony pulls.  Steven was a DeKalb County and Allen County foster parent. 

Survivors include:

Son, Coby Wade of Waterloo.

Daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Michael Keyser of Leo.

Daughter and son-in-law, Malissa and Jimmy Hicks of Angola.

Daughter, Jessica Wasson and Tom Lippi of Waterloo.

15 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

Sister and brother-in-law, Cary and Shaun McDaniel of Waterloo.

Sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Tony Wolf of Auburn.

Brother and sister-in-law, Adam and Sarah Wade of Fort Wayne.

Stepmother, Linda Wade of Fort Wayne.

Many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Edward Wade; his mother and stepfather, Elizabeth (Beckman) and Floyd Krontz; his wife, Janie Wade; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Richard Ochoa; sister, Dianne Mercer and two foster sons, Keith Green and Kevin Smith Levens.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. 

Burial will take place at the Butler Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in memory of Steven to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, 6316 Mutual Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825.
