Susan Jane "Sue" (Schneider) Rohr

Susan Jane “Sue” (Schneider) Rohr, 75, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2024.

Sue was born on Sept. 14, 1949, in Fort Madison, Iowa, to John A. and Betty B. (Lain) Schneider.

She was a paralegal for different law firms in the Fort Wayne area. Sue went back to school later in life and worked for local nursing homes as a licensed practical nurse.

Sue was a member of Sweet Adelines International, Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority and for the past 49 years was a member of a local Bridge Club.

She was a locally known artist in northeast Indiana, and you could find her art on display at the Oyster Bar in Fort Wayne.

She loved music and enjoyed playing the piano. She could often be found dancing, especially on Thursday evenings at the American Legion Post 97 in Auburn. She also enjoyed working in her flower gardens and she had a caring heart for animals, especially dogs that were in need of a home.

Sue loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are three daughters, Helena Duke, of Auburn, Katy Rohr, of Auburn and Dana Rohr, of Auburn; seven grandchildren, Becken Duke, of Orlando, Florida, Nathaniel (Kaitlyn) Duke, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Samuel Duke, of Corpus Christi, Texas, Olivia (Denver) Dvorak, of Fairdale, North Dakota, Osric Wolfe, of Angola, Leah Rohr, of Auburn and Jackson Smith, of Auburn; great-granddaughter, Reece Dvorak; two sisters, Sarah (Dean) Labov, of Lakeland, Florida, and Avery (David) Pollack, of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; father to her three lovely daughters, John Thomas (Rose) Rohr, of Auburn; and many close family and friends whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Stephen Schneider.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 2-4 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.

A celebration of Sue’s life will follow the visitation from 4-7 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, at Auburn Elks Lodge 1978, 311 E. 9th St., Auburn.
