Terry L Hartman

Terry L Hartman, 82 of Auburn, Formerly of Columbia City, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Parkview DeKalb Hospital in Auburn.

He was born November 28, 1942 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Paul K and Leola B (Mountz) Hartman.

Terry retired from Rieke Corporation in 2003 after 34 years.

He enjoyed working in his shop doing wood working and metal fabrication, going to tractor shows with his best friend Jacque (Diane) Stroh and fishing on Big Lake with his good friend Jerry Pawlak.

He is survived by his wife Joy Hartman; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory A and Jennifer Hartman of Auburn; granddaughter, Elicia (Kyle) Slater of Auburn , grandson, Paul (Stephanie) Hartman of Celestine, IN; great grandchildren, Quinn Slater, Hayden Slater, Brooklyn Hartman and Nolan Hartman; step-son, Jason L (Ashley) Skinner of Fort Wayne; step grandsons, Carson Skinner (Kealey Speicher), Caden Skinner and Carter Skinner; brothers and sisters in laws, John and Susie Peirce, Tom and Margie Peirce, Jim and Tayne Peirce and Sue Shideler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife of 39 years, P. Diane (Hoff) Hartman and son Bradley P Hartman.

Services will be 11 AM Wednesday April 30, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN with burial to follow in Fairfield Cemetery, Corunna. Calling is Tuesday from 3 to 7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be given in memory of Terry to the DeKalb County Humane Shelter.
