Thelmer Handshoe

Thelmer “Lou” Handshoe, age 75, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at The Laurels of DeKalb Nursing Home in Butler.

He was born on January 16, 1950 in Garrett, Indiana to Roscoe and Girlie (Sexton) Handshoe. 

Survivors include:

Two sons, Todd Kennedy and Wendy Kennedy; daughter, Tina; sister and brother-in-law, Marlene and Joe Miller; brother and sister-in-law, Bud and Linda Handshoe; brother and sister-in-law, Buford and Joan Shepherd and a special niece, Patty Strong.

Lou was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy Handshoe; daughter, Tonya; three sisters, Geneva Wallen, Maggie Collins and Cora Handshoe and one brother, Commadore Shepherd.

No services will be held.
