Theresia Louise Ferrier, 83, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025. She was born on January 19, 1942 in Bryan, Ohio to Lawrence “Curly” and Corda (Haddix) Curtis.
Theresia devoted her life to helping others and was a tireless advocate for the poor, disabled, and elderly. Her compassion was evident in her numerous volunteer efforts, including visits to nursing home residents, assisting at local food banks, and contributing at Project Help. A familiar and welcoming face at local churches, she served as a greeter for many years. Theresia will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, quick witted humor, and boundless generosity to friends and family.
She is survived by her children; James (Eleanor) Ferrier, Mary (Files) Ferrier, and Jonathan (Pam) Ferrier; siblings; Doug (Karen) Curtis, Junior (Becky) Curtis, Bob (Cindy) Curtis, and Elizabeth “Twink” Curtis; 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Theresia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Norman Stocker, daughter, Patsy (Jolly) Smith, son-in-law, Michael Files, brothers, Chester Curtis and Darrell Curtis.
A Celebration of Theresia’s Life will be held on February 1, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Commons Hall, 501 South John Street, Angola, IN 46703. Feller and Clark Funeral Home of Auburn is assisting the family with arrangements. To send condolences visit www.fellerandclark.com
