Thomas N. Farrington, 87, of Garrett, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Millers Merry Manor in Garrett.
He was born August 25, 1938, in Garrett, Indiana to Kermit E. Farrington Sr. and Margrete A. (Kaellner) Farrington.
Thomas graduated from Garrett High School in 1956. He attended Tri State University in Angola and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.
Thomas was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was an aerospace engineer for an aerospace company in California, retiring after 40 years of service.
Thomas was a member of the Garrett First Baptist Church. While living in California, he attended over 13 mission trips to Israel through his church in California.
He served as Past President for the Garrett Historical Train Museum.
Surviving are a sister, Margaret C. Farrington of Garrett; sister-in-law, Joyce A. Farrington of Fort Wayne; and cousins, Ann M. Shonkwiler of Durham, North Carolina,
Jerry W. and Deborah Thomas of Garrett, Mike R. Thomas of Portland, Oregon, Jim and Nancy Kaellner of Indianapolis, John and Shelia Kaellner of Indianapolis, and Janas Ward of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kermit E. “Gene” Farrington Jr.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2026, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.
Pastor Tom Wilcoxson and Chaplain Chris Weidman will be officiating.
Burial will take place at Christian Union Cemetery in rural Garrett, with military honors being conducted by the American Legion Post 178 of Garrett and American Legion Post 97 of Auburn.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
