Walter Bradley Minnich, age 94 of Aransas Pass, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at his son’s home in LaOtto, Indiana.
He was born on December 1, 1930 in Hegins, Pennsylvania to William and Florence (Phillips) Minnich.
Walter honorably served his country in the United States Navy.
He started out as a DeKalb County farmer while also running a tool and dye shop in Auburn. In 1982, Walter moved to El Paso, Texas to work for United Technologies across the border in Juárez, Mexico for many years until his retirement. After retirement, he moved to Aransas Pass in Texas where he trained Silver Sneakers aerobics for several years. He also enjoyed sail boating, gardening and painting.
Survivors include:
Son and daughter-in-law, John and Cindy Minnich of LaOtto.
Daughter, Linda Minnich (Clint Hulsey) of Lillian, Texas.
Four grandchildren and their spouses, Tyler and Shannon Minnich, Stephanie and Earl Bitz, Amber Minnich and Phillip and Liliana Minnich.
Eight great grandchildren, Trenton, Chase, Cale, Carly, Caitlin, Aliyah, Rylee and Chase.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Bill Minnich and Wade Minnich; two sisters, Betty Michaels and Alice Miller and brother and sister-in-law, Miles and Hazel Minnich.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn.
Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Walter to Stillwater Hospice, 5910 Homestead Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46814.
