Wendy didn’t just live in this world; she loved it, and everyone in it. If you met Wendy, you didn’t stay a stranger for long. Her kindness was instinctive, her patience unwavering, and her love limitless. She had a rare gift for making people feel seen, safe, and genuinely cared for, often within moments of meeting her.
Wendy was a managing partner at Cosmos House of Pancakes, where friendships were formed daily and everyone felt welcome at her table. Later, she retired from Salvatori’s Restaurant Group, a place she never saw as “work,” but as family. Every team member was her own, and she loved them fiercely.
Her kind eyes and loving smile created an instant connection. People were drawn to her warmth, her gentleness, and the steady grace she carried through life. She believed deeply in kindness, lived it without condition, and leaves behind a legacy of love that cannot be measured.
Wendy is survived by her sister, Sally (Mike) Lundin; her nephews, Brett (Kat) Wentz; Nick (Tory) Lundin; her great-nephew, Henry, and great-niece Audrey; her “children”, Panos (Stephanie) Bourounis and Misty (Adam) Mueller; her cherished grandchildren, Daphne and Petros Bourounis; her beloved godchildren, Tori, Austin, and Carter Jefferies; Joe and Caydance Mueller; Eric Gonzales and LeAnne Montross, both of Oregon; many other nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends; each of whom she loved with her whole being.
Wendy believed that love never ends, and neither does connection. Her presence will continue to be felt in shared meals, quiet prayers, kind gestures, and in the way she taught us to treat one another; with patience, compassion, and open hearts. Her love, gratitude, and kindness will never be forgotten.
Services will be held on May 12th at County Line Church at 7716 N County Line Road E, Auburn IN. A Celebration of Life gathering will be from 12:00pm-3:00pm Tuesday at the church with a memorial service beginning at 3PM.
