William "Bill" E. Basinger

Waterloo – William “Bill” Edward Basinger, 71, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at his home in Waterloo.

He was born November 19, 1952 in Findlay, Ohio to Hollace K and Rhoda N (Bushong) Basinger and they have both passed away.

Bill retired from Cooper Standard Automotive in 2015 with over 40 years of service.

He was a member of the Auburn Elks Lodge and the NRA.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, gardening, whittling and was a competition marksman.

Bill is survived by his wife, Linda (Steller) Basinger. They were married on December 30, 1993 in Auburn. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Sonja Lingo of Kendallville, and Julie (Danny) Lingo of Hamilton. A son, Jordan Basinger of Indianapolis and a stepdaughter, Laurin (Jimmy) Walters of Waterloo; 8 grandchildren, Alfred, Aidan, Annalise, Payton, Abbott, Aubree, Adelynn, and Bryer; 2 sisters, Sara Smith of North Baltimore, Ohio and Cindy Arrington of McComb, Ohio.

Services will be 1 PM Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN 46706. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service Saturday from 11 to 1 at the funeral home.
