William Lock went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 12, 2025. He was born on April 28, 1938, in St. Louis, Missouri to Floyd and Inez Lock. They both preceded him in death.
He married Mary Biggerstaff on March 1, 1969 at the Waterloo United Methodist Church. She preceded him in death on February 16, 2023.
William honorably served his country in the United States Army. He graduated from Auburn High School and later Purdue University. In 1996, he was named as the Inventor on a United States Patient for a heater used in the Glade Plug-In. He also designed several heating devices for the Snowsports Industry.
In his retirement, he enjoyed photography and became the photographer for the DeKalb County Historian until 2011. He also wrote the book and movie “Ghost Towns of DeKalb County”.
Survivors Include:
Daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Scott Baber of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
Son and daughter-in-law, John and Victoria Lock of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Five grandchildren, Alyson Kain, Brendan Lock, Bailey Lock, Andrew Lock and Nicklas Lock.
A memorial service with military honors will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn.
A gathering for friends and family will be held one hour prior to the memorial service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at the Waterloo Cemetery, Waterloo, Indiana.
