William G. “Bill” Nicholas, age 60 of Kendallville passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born on January 27, 1964 in Auburn to Gerald and Doris “Nadean” (Riggs) Nicholas. Bill was a 1983 graduate of DeKalb High School.
Bill worked as a self-employed truck driver for 32 years, retiring in 2023. He attended the New Hope Christian Center in Waterloo.
He loved to race cars and has raced at Avilla, Baer Field Motorsports Park in Fort Wayne and Angola Motor Speedway. He also like to mud truck, deer hunt and ice fish.

His mother; Nadean Nicholas of Kendallville.
Son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Amy Nicholas of Kendallville.
Son, Austin Nicholas of Avilla.
Daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Robert Colgan of Kendallville.
Daughter, Amber Nicholas of Auburn.
Daughter and son-in-law, Davannah and Chase Colgan of Garrett.
13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Keith Crowl of Hamilton.
Sister and brother-in-law, Delilah and Mae Sumkit of Waterloo.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Nicholas.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.
Burial will take place at a later date at the Christian Union Cemetery in Garrett.
Memorials can may be given to the Feller and Clark Funeral Home to help the family with final expenses.
