Willie Lee Watson

Willie Lee Watson, 79, of Waterloo, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born January 6, 1944, in Washington Courthouse, Ohio to Otis and Opal (Warner) Watson.

Willie married Emma Ann Stacy on June 21, 1968, in West Liberty, Kentucky, and she survives in Waterloo.

Willie farmed for several years in Kentucky. He then went to work for the Auburn Foundry, retiring in 2002 after 30 years of service.

He was a member of the Waterloo Freewill Baptist Church.

Willie enjoyed fishing, hunting, animals, mowing, old westerns, tinkering with things and loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

 Also surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Cinthia Grace and Micah McKinley of Angola; two grandchildren, Michael William (Maurissa) Kennedy Jr. and Gabriel Archer Kennedy; bonus grandchildren, Nicole (T.J.) Imhoff, Dylan McKinley and Emily McKinley; two great grandchildren, Cashton William Kennedy and Reid Alan Imhoff; six siblings, Shirley (Jerry) Carnahan of Hudson, Kay Gorman of Washington Courthouse, Ohio, Henrietta Payton of West Liberty, Kentucky, Jay Watson of West Liberty, Kentucky, Calvin Watson of West Liberty, Kentucky and Roger Watson of West Liberty, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and six siblings, Alvin Watson, Earnest Watson, Elroy Watson, Milford Watson, Joyce Roberts and Linda Phillips.

Services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2023, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with visitation from 10 – 11 a.m. prior to the service on Friday. The Rev. Ron Stambaugh will be officiating.

Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in rural Angola.

Visitation also will be from 3 – 7 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the funeral home.
