Willis Dobson, 75, of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne.
He was born June 23, 1949, in Talcum, Knott County, Kentucky to Leonard and Mayoma (Ritchie) Dobson.
Willis married Ilene Patrick on July 25, 1970, in Brimfield, Indiana, and she passed away December 10, 2020.
He worked for NIPSCO in Auburn, retiring after more that 20 years of service to the company.
Willis was an avid sports fan. He loved to watch and follow his brother, son and grandkids play in all their sporting activities. He also loved the University of Kentucky and the men’s basketball team.
Surviving are a son, Ronnie (Melissa) Dobson of Corunna; four grandchildren, Bryce Dobson, Myles Dobson, Caitlin Hyde, and Arianna Marti; three siblings, Mable (Don) Beber of Auburn, Pauline (Gary) Krider of Coldwater, Michigan, and Charlie (Staci) Dobson of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death his parents; wife, grandson, Crofus Dobson; and sister, Girlie Brill.
Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St, Auburn, with the Rev. Ron Stambaugh officiating.
Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
Visitation will be from noon – 3 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service.
