Zachary Badman Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our son Zachary Allen Badman, 34 of Hamilton, IN. Zach passed away January 6, 2026 at the Cleveland Clinic with his family by his side. He was born May 23, 1991 in Auburn to John and Lorie Badman.

Zach was incredibly bright. He loved to read and excelled in school. In his younger years he was a scout, played baseball and belonged to 4-H. He graduated from Hamilton High School and went on to study Electrical Engineering at Trine University and Electrical Engineering with Music Technology at IPFW.

He worked at several places over the years but his favorite job was working with his dad. He always felt fortunate to be able to call his dad his best friend.

Zach loved his younger brother Nick and always looked out for him. He dearly loved animals. He liked to fish, swim and sit around a campfire visiting with family and friends. He enjoyed spending time in Mackinaw City at his Uncle Jim’s house. He liked to watch comedies, especially stoner comedies and horror movies.

Zach was an accomplished guitar player. He enjoyed old school guitars, amps, pedals and anything to do with music. He loved to buy and sell guitar equipment. He built one of his favorite amps from scratch and loved modifying guitars. He was a talented musician and he and his brother Nick sounded great when they played together.

Zach lived a simple life and was very genuine in his love and friendships. People were naturally drawn to his sweet, loving, gentle personality. He would give anyone in need anything he had to give.

The following describes how Zach lived his life:

“Always pray to have eyes to see the best in people, a heart that forgives the worst, a mind that forgets the bad, and a soul that never loses faith in God.”

Those left behind to cherish Zach’s memory are his parents John and Lorie Badman, his brother Nicholas, all of Hamilton, IN, his dog Blue, Grandfather Richard Badman, Waterloo, IN, Aunts and Uncles James Badman, Mackinaw City, MI, Sarah Imbody and Paul Myers, Monroeville, IN, Joe and Jen Badman, Angola, IN, Anne Thomas, Ft. Wayne, IN, Scott and Patti Warstler, Garrett, IN, Nita Warstler and Dave Cubanski, State College, PA and several cousins.

Zach was welcomed into heaven by his Grandmother Charlene Badman, Grandparents Clyde and Carol Warstler, cousin Anarbek Cubanski and his dog Rebel.

Special thanks to Aunt Nita for spending several weeks with Zach during his stay at the Cleveland Clinic and to his special friend Renee and all of his healthcare workers who took such good care of him.

The world has truly lost a wonderful young man.
