Gary Anton Condon, 71 passed away unexpectedly at 12:59 am on August 27, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Gary was born August 22, 1945 to John and Nina Condon in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  His parents preceded him in death.  Gary graduated from Adrian Catholic Central High School in Adrian, Michigan and attended Jackson Community College in Jackson, Michigan.

He married Carolyn MacKellar on June 5, 1976 in Paris, Michigan.  He was a salesman most of his life but for the last several years he was an insurance agent.  Gary is survived by his wife; Carolyn and his children; Christy and Fred Wessel of Auburn, Stephanie Campbell and Cortney Miller of Wolcottville, John Condon of Auburn and his grandchildren; Scott and Brittany Wessel, Brittany Wessel, Zachary Wessel, as well as his great grandson; Cree Scott Wessel who lovingly called him “Papa”.  He is also survived by his four sisters; Pat Lewandowski, Nancy Condon, Susan Hughes, and Chris Werstler as well as several nieces and nephews.

Gary was a kind and loving man.  His greatest love and joy was his wife, children, and grandchildren.  The love he had for his family was unmeasurable.  He quietly and without fanfare helped his family every day.  It may have been advice, prayers, money, or just listening and spending time with them.  His other great joy was his church, St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Waterloo, Indiana.  He helped with the remodel of the church several years ago and was currently working to restore the stained glass windows in the church.  His other pleasures and hobbies that he enjoyed were watching Fox News, which was always on the TV.  The only time the channel changed from Fox News was when he was watching his beloved Notre Dame Football.  He thoroughly enjoyed reading and was a regular at the library.  He could not live without his remote controlled recliner.  He was also a “connoisseur” of Franzia box wine.  His son and grandchildren toasted him in heaven with a shot of Franzia.  Gary no doubt was smiling down upon them.  Gary was loved dearly by his family and will be missed every day.

Viewing will be Wednesday, August 31 from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Feller & Clark Funeral Home in Auburn.  The Rosary will be said at 7:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

A funeral mass will be Thursday, September 1 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Waterloo at 11:00 am with viewing 1 hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in the St. Michael's Cemetery in Waterloo.
