Jeannette I. Feller, 78, of Auburn passed away Tuesday November 22, 2016, at The Laurels of DeKalb Nursing Home in Butler.

She was born November 24, 1937, in Hamilton to the late Bernard B. and LaVoyle (Headley) Lockwood.

Jeannette was a 1955 graduate of Waterloo High School. She then graduated from Warner Beauty College in Fort Wayne.

She worked as a beautician from her home while also working at the DeKalb County Courthouse for 22 years, retiring from the clerk’s office in 1999.

Jeannette was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Lodge in Ashley. She enjoyed traveling, square dancing, sewing, working in the yard and eating out with family and close friends. She also loved having her family over for a good home cooked meal, but her true passion in life was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She married Carl Feller on November 24, 1956, in Waterloo, and he survives in Auburn.

Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Jeff Penland of Waterloo; a son and daughter-in-law, Carter and Anna Feller of Auburn; five grandchildren, Jami (Jeff) Hicov, Kristy (Adam) Dibble, Craig (Cassie Yarian) Penland, Greg Feller, and Kyle Feller; five great grandchildren, Hayden Dibble, Jordan Dibble, Cooper Penland, Cole Penland, and Emma Feller; and two brothers, Gerald and Sandy Lockwood of Waterloo, and Larry and Janice Lockwood of Auburn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a granddaughter.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with visitation from 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. The Rev. Ken Weaver will be officiating. Burial will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.

Visitation will also be from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
