June 2, 1941 ~ November 21, 2017 (age 76) 76 Years OldWaterloo – James A Sutton, 76 of Waterloo died Tuesday November 21, 2017 at DuPont Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born June 2, 1941 in Hamilton to Donald and Evelyn (Oberlin) Sutton. They have both passed away as has a sister Judith Sutton. Jim was President and General Manager of Suttons Markets until 1989. Feeling too young to retire Jim took a job for a time as a sales rep for the Hoosier Lottery. The last few years took him to Angola where he enjoyed visiting with people and helping where he could at his son and daughter-in-law’s Deli on the square in Angola. He was a member of the Waterloo United Methodist Church and a former member of the Greenhurst Country Club. He was an avid follower and supporter of local high school events, especially the sports and activities his kids and grandkids participated in. Jim married Janet Hall on October 5, 1963 in Waterloo and she survives. Also surviving are 2 sons and a daughter, Robert (Kim) Sutton of Fort Wayne, John (Chris) Sutton of Auburn, Melissa (Brad) Dennis of Kalamazoo, MI. and 12 grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 sisters and a brother, Mavis Sutton of Waterloo, Dennis (Joni) Sutton of Fort Wayne and Marva Eberly of Fort Wayne. Services are 10 am Saturday November 25, 2017 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street, Waterloo, IN with Rev Mitchel Kruse and Rev Mike Halferty officiating, Calling is Friday from 3 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
