Raymond E. “Gene” Decker, 69, died Friday, September 23, 2016, at his home in Auburn.

Mr. Decker retired from Tri-Wall Containers in Butler after 28 years of service.

He was a member of Pace International Union Local 1108.

He was born July 23, 1947, in Auburn to William O. and Kathryn L. (Smith) Decker. He married Bonnie Egly on April 3, 1985, in Auburn, and she survives.

Also surviving are a son, Stephen A. Decker of Garrett; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Norman L. Decker of Churubusco, and Wayne C. and Michelle Decker of Auburn; a sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Robert Schmidt of Bremen; and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Eddie Lynn Decker.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. The Rev. Dr. Robert Craig will be officiating. Burial will take place in Eddy Cemetery in rural Hamilton.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
