I worked with Flip for many years at Dana Corp. in Auburn. Flip was one of the most prolific inventors in Dana's history, having been granted over 50 US Patents. Many of the clutch products sold by Dana, and now Eaton Corp., over the years are a direct result of Flip's creativity. Not only that, Flip had a great sense of humor and was downright fun to work with.

I worked with Flip for many years at the Clutch Division in Auburn.  He was a great guy, a wonderful "boss", and a natural engineer.  I will always remember the times when he would sit me down in his office and share his wisdom about being patient as I was a young engineer who was always impatient and he had a great way of putting things into perspective.  His smile and his laugh were contagious.  He was a good man and the world will miss him.  I will forever be grateful for having been able to just know Flip let alone to have been able to work with him.  What a privilege.  My condolences to his family on your loss.

Flip was an amazing guy.  I worked at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum, and Flip and Warren were two of my best volunteers! They helped keep the cars looking great, sold tickets and just about anything else I asked them to help with. He was always joking around and had a smile on his face. It was a pleasure to work with him. Thoughts and prayers to his family.
